Parade For Fallen Firefighters in Downtown Raleigh

A parade to commemorate fallen firefighters will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, beginning at 11 a.m. The parade is being sponsored by the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The parade will begin assembling at 9:30 am along the 00 through 300 blocks of South Salisbury Street. At 11 am they will begin the parade at the intersection of Morgan and Salisbury Streets. They will proceed east on Morgan Street to Fayetteville Street, south Fayetteville Street to Davie Street, west on Davie Street to Salisbury Street, south on Salisbury Street to Lenoir Street where the participants will disperse. The following streets will be closed beginning at 9:30 to facilitate assembly. (Streets along the route will be closed at the start time. (1)The 00 through 300 blocks of South Salisbury Street (2)The 100 blocks of Hillsborough and West Morgan Streets (3)The 00 and 100 blocks of West Martin and West Hargett Streets.
